Our Nightmare started with the hostess. She refused to
seat us at a table (even though we could see empty tables available) and seated us at a booth. The booths in this restaurant are very narrow and seem to be made more to accommodate children rather than adults. Our server was rude and looked as if she had just crawled out of a sewer. After placing our food order the food was delivered in exactly 3 minutes and 52 Seconds. Now ordinarily I don’t complain about prompt service but really – Do they honestly expect anyone to believe that our meals were prepared freshly in this amount of time? The food tasted just like I expected – it had been prepared hours before we arrived! It was terrible! In addition the room temperature was hot, the place was very noisy and children were running everywhere! I cannot recommend this “restaurant” to anyone. Do yourself a favor and skip this one!
Our overall rating of Jungle Jims was 1 out of 5 Smiles Location – Date of Review – 12 Feb 2011 Food - ☺☺☺☺ Service - ☺☺☺ Atmosphere - ☺☺ Overall Rating - ☺☺☺ Review The Spoon (former location of Casa Maya Restaurant) bills itself as a diner. Frankly, no one in our party understood the concept. The atmosphere was the same as it was as the “Casa Maya” with the exception of some fresh paint and the removal of the Mexican related décor. Our Server was very pleasant but we had to wait for some time for our food to arrive and even though the Restaurant was not very busy they insisted on grouping all tables together which made conversation unpleasant for us and the adjoining parties. One pleasant surprise was the food it was very tasty and made the wait worthwhile! Our overall rating of The Spoon was 3 out of 5 Smiles!

Restaurant Name – Food for Thought Location – Date of Review - 29 Jan 2011 Food - ☺☺☺ ☺ Service - ☺☺☺☺☺ Atmosphere - ☺☺☺☺ Overall Rating - ☺☺☺☺ Review Food for Thought – a funny name for a restaurant but don’t be fooled by the name. Our Server was top notch. The Restaurant itself was very pleasantly decorated and the menu had a nice selection of modern and refreshing dishes. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken was very well prepared, cooked to perfection. The one criticism would be too much liquid from the Mango Salsa on the plate. The Roast Beef selection was the one disappointment at our table and seemed to be lacking in flavor as well complimentary ingredients. Overall the restaurant was a pleasant dinning experience for all in our party and after much "thought" we have assigned the Food for Thought a rating of 4 out of 5 Smileys! . |
