Temporary Stores

     The truth is these Temporary stores are nothing more than Corporate Leeches that entice consumers into their stores, take their money and then leave town for months or in some cases forever. Profits not as good as they thought? They simply move on to the next town.

     They lure in unsuspecting customers from the local communities and sell them merchandise at the expense of you local vendors. These local stores, the very stores that support your community and your community’s tax base on a year around basis are the ones that are being hurt or in many cases forced out of business. Many of these stores break even throughout the year and exist to support you and your community. These are the local stores that hire your neighbors or your neighbors kids, that work their whole lives living in and supporting your community and yet you betray them and deny them their one chance of making a profit to survive another year by patronizing some temporary Halloween, Furniture or Garden Store. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

     Many of these Temporary stores are owned by large corporate giants that have no other agenda than to come into your town and suck your community’s money out and leave with their profits. Sure they do provide a temporary job for a couple of months and they do contribute slightly to your tax base but compared to the damage they do to your local merchants it is nothing!  If you supported your local merchants instead you would find that about 70% of the money stays in your community. Supporting the Temporary Leech Stores only about 30% stays in the community; big difference!
